Great drama, palette and an unusual composition Steven.

Many thanks Carole. I always appreciate comments from other contributors.

Suitably moody, Stevan! I love the colours.

Very atmospheric, Stevan, love the colours - and textures in the foreground.

Another super one Stevan, showing all the elements of the Dales.

Many thanks Pauline, Jenny and Richard. Great to have your comments.

Spectacular Stevan! The narrative that accompanies your painting complements the elements within it. You’ve used the washes cleverly, in that the trees left foreground, look as though they are reflected on the wash behind. Also, there are small lighter areas in the darker wash below the tree line that look like sheep grazing. This is one of my favourites of yours Stevan!

thank Fionna, your eye for detail always pulls out the detail and your comments are always much appreciated. someone told me that the measure of an artist is the hidden detail that you see after many viewings. Youve spotted detail that I hadnt seen myself. T

I think that pretty much sums up many parts of the striking Pennine landscape.
