Thank you very much Fiona I have a poor pigeon in a box outside it's injured it's left wing and his legs have gone parylised. I'll take it to the sanctuary tomorrow but it's had it . Upsetting.

I’m sorry to hear that Dennis, it’s hard when you know it doesn’t have much of a chance. All you can do is keep it safe, warm and quiet....that’s as much as we all want when the time comes. I picked a sparrow up in the garden a couple of days ago, it had its head tucked under its wing and didn’t object when I picked up. I knew it wasn’t going to make it, so I took it indoors and sat and nursed it quietly in my hand and it passed away not long after. We do what we can Dennis, as long as we don’t turn our back on them.
