I painted this on site some 22 years ago. The view intrigued me. - an abandoned granite quarry and a building that looked as though it should have been erected on the Normandy coast. But it wasn’t. there it was on the Massachusetts Altlantic coast, evidently built during WW 2 as a look out point for U boats.
