Cheeky little sparrow
When I grew up in the London suburbs as a child of the 1960s sparrows were such a common sight ,but I noticed when I had children of my own and had moved to another suburban area that they seemed to have vanished!, we only had the odd hedge sparrow come to visit ,but on the plus side we did have a huge variety of other birds to watch. It was such a joy when I moved to West Dorset two years ago to be reunited with these social birds , they were even nesting in my eves.
