This is a view from the back of my croft onto a loch, where my partner saw an otter crawling over the seaweed. I have been inspired by books like 'Tarka the Otter,' by Henri Williamson and 'Ring of Bright Water,' by Gavin Maxwell to paint these otters, having also seen them in the wilds. It is an amazing sight to see them for the first time.
