Thank you everyone for your very kind comments. I don`t use granulating fluid.........i must try it!!! I rely on the paper and the pigment used, i.e in this case French Ultra by Maimeri, they don`t grind the pigment up as much as say Winsor Newton.

I've been there! And got very, very wet. I'd much rather see your painting than go back and experience the real thing: there's something particularly damp about Welsh rain..

14" x 10" watercolour. This scene can be seen on the A498 road just after leaving Pen-y-Pass on the way down to Llyn Gwynant. It mirrors our weather at the moment!! Only 4 colours used: Sky- Raw S,FU, LR. Distant mountain- FU+LR weak, foreground- Burnt S and sky colours.
