Like this a lot David

A real eye-catcher, David. Love the sky, the sharp light on the bridge, everything in it!!!

Love that dramatic sky and the precariously balanced bridge David.

Love this painting, dramatic sky and light

Thank you everyone for your very kind comments. It was an interesting painting to work out both for tones and colouring, but i was pleased in the end with the image. Their are quite a lot of clapper bridges in Dartmoor, mainly used for getting livestock across the river such as sheep.

Hang on Studio Wall

20" x 16" watercolour. The whites were left/ painted round, no masking fluid was used. I also painted a lot of negative ( putting darker elements behind lighter passages) and positive ( painting darker elements in front of lighter passages) as this creates interest.
