Agree with Heather about the brushwork - very expressive. I was once "attacked" by two very friendly, and very large, boxers: one jumped up in front of me and planted his paws on my shoulders, his brother did just the same from behind, and suddenly my head became, front and back, a slobber playground.... Nice dogs: well worth painting.

Another practise of using alla prima. Very nearly gave up on this one but learned a lot in the process.
