You certainly mastered the oil pastel approach for this portrait of Fiona and her features with darker blemishes for her eyes,orbits,and eye-brows turned out admirably! Lovely contrast and pigments to compose this portrait in oil pastel,well done Christine!

Size A2 For this painting I used oil pastel, an unusual medium for portraits, I believe? A friend generously gifted her unused oil pastels to me, so I want to make the most of this unexpected windfall. They need a fairly physical approach and knives to scrape smooth or scrape off. It's a challenge, but fun, and good to learn how to use a different medium.
