Giraffes at the Zoo

Giraffes Painting 3

Lovely painting. They have rather aloof facial features!!

I’ve seen the stages of your painting on the forum Carrie, the result is adorable, they have such expressive faces. I like how you have dealt with the background, simplified, so it doesn’t overwhelm the main stars.

Thank you for the lovely comment David. Thank you Fiona :) I knew that I didn’t want to attempt the background at all, thought it might have taken something away from the stars of the show. I had a lot of fun putting down the blue purple and white in the background, it was very freeing.

Smashing painting Carrie.

Thank you Denise x

Lovely composition Carrie.

Thank you Chris :)

Happy result Carrie.

Thank you Sylvia, I’m glad it has a happy feel.

This is lovely Carrie. I saw it’s progress on the forum. I like the fact that you produced it from your own experience of a visit to the zoo, and I think the connection and enjoyment shows through.

Love their expressions, like 3 tall pantomime dames, super painting

Thank you Tessa, we were really lucky that day, we were about to join a rather long queue to see the giraffes inside their enclosure when all of a sudden they walked out the back, right to where we were standing, and they were very photogenic :)

Thank you Heather, I love their eyelashes I have to say!

Thank you Dixie :)
