Good sense of tone you have observed your subject well Caroline.

Oh this is good Caroline! I know what you mean, the yellow isn't just yellow is it, it's green/yellow, orang/yellow and even yellow/yellow!lol This is really superb!

Well you seem to have coped very well with this Caroline. I also love that stalk.

Thank you very much John, Fiona and Adele. My brain kept telling me it was lighter than it really was, Fiona, sounds like you know where I'm coming from! I'll check out your lemon paintings shortly. Adele, thank you, the stalk was the last thing to go in and was simple compared to trying to see the subtle tonal shifts in the pepper.

Just smashing Caroline. The grey slate effect sets it off well. Good yellows too.

Great yellow tones and shades Caroline a lovely pepper.

Thank you Derek, Carole and Gudrun. I took a couple of photos and put this up by mistake, Gudrun, but then I quite liked it uncropped!

Painted this afternoon. I've discovered it isn't lemons that are hard, it's the colour yellow!! If anyone's interested, I have 2 wooden/plein air paint boxes for sale on eBay, ending Sunday eve.
