Fantastic Caroline painted superbly and yes most of us are trying to paint looser but its easier to paint tight , this is something the average non artist type person gets for those people its rubbish if it's not like a photo and if it is like a photo then the art world think it's rubbish agh you can't win , hey ho you can have a bit of fun along the way though , lol .

It's lovely. Isn't it great how the picture takes on a life of its own. Like you I have time now to paint and I love it.

Beautifully worked Caroline

Amazing how you have turned these little pots into something most gracious, beautiful

That's so true, Dennis, we never hear artists say they wish they could paint tighter, do we! Thank you Dennis, Shirley, Dennis and Jenny.

Nice work Caroline, lovely to see new growth this time of year.

Hello Caroline, got your message, but having trouble replying! My email is [email protected] if you fancy more painting chat! Yes, I do know Ivon Hitchens' work, and saw a lovely one lately at the Pallant Gallery in Chichester. If you send me a message maybe we can chat more, as both mine to you have bounced back this morning.

Thank you, Carole and Gudrun. This is a lot less neat for me so I'm on the right track to scruffiness.

Unusual scene but it works ever so well Caroline.

Thank you, Sarah. I liked that each object had a different surface: terracotta, aluminium and ceramic.

Oil on canvas paper, 8" X 12". I found these guys in a neglected corner of the garden and they agreed to pose for a plein air sketch. I'm trying to paint looser (aren't we all) and I made progress today!
