I don't know how you have done it Caroline, but these daffs really jump out the painting at you. They look 3D......well done.

I agree with Fiona, daffodils are very hard to paint but you have captured them really well,

Oh thank you so much, Fiona and Glennis. I set off gaily (ridiculously) thinking "Oh, it can't be that hard to paint daffodils..." I had to try several times, and almost gave up/painted it over in big black stripes!

hi Caroline I thought I would reply to you about my work on this gorgeous painting. I really like this and was going to paint daffodils today but they haven't opened yet. Just to let you know that I've posted how I did the moorland painting on the picture so you can see for yourself where and what I mean. Again this is a lovely picture.

Hang on Studio Wall

Acrylic on canvas, approx 7" x 5". Painting these 'daffa flowers', as my daughter used to call them when she was little, taught me that flowers have ellipses, and that it's hard to get away with getting them wrong.
