Sharpness
Sharpness is a Severnside village with a small docks area and associated industries. It's also the start of a canal to Gloucester. Sharpness has always fascinated me and I was inspired by the multiple architectural shapes and colours as well as the contrast between the modern dock area and the boatyards of the old canal area in the foreground. It was a challenge to paint and I nearly gave up, but returned with renewed enthusiasm. Oil on 3mm MDF, 15" x 23".
