Along the canal, near Stroud

Comments

That is such a lovely scene, Barry and so well painted. It's an inspiration. Thank you for posting.

So tranquil and the greens/yellows are beautiful

Such a tranquil scene and the variants of green and yellows do add a rich environment where this canal is situated.

Really beautiful, Barry, with lovely water and trees.

I love the simplicity in this piece.

Like this a lot - that water is particularly good

The reflections in the canal are superb.

Beautiful scene Barry.

Beautifully painted

Many thanks for all your very encouraging comments. Best wishes to you all for 2021!

Absolutely Stunning

The treatment of the canal and the play of light on the lock entrance work very well

This is an October scene at Griffin's Mill Lock along the old canal linking the Thames and the Severn. Abandoned by the 1940s, several miles of the canal have been beautifully restored. The towpath is a superb walk. Painted in oils on 3mm mdf board, 15.5" x 19".
