Hello, Benji - brilliantly done; being lifelike is one thing, many people can achieve a likeness and make the animal look as though it's alive and kicking; what's more difficult is to convey the animal's personality and character. Having known a number of spaniels over the years, I recognize this look - it might mean a number of things, but the usual explanation is that there's a treat in view.

Yep, definitely has a look on it's face that says 'yes, yes, I have been good i promise, now give me that treat!' This is a gorgeous piece and the colours in the eyes and mouth really make it pop, lovely job.

Benji has turned out beautifully Jenny and your talent shines through your work. I love your composition which is so typically spaniel.
