  • Thank you for your comments which I find very encouraging. Watercolour always gives you more than you expect and often more than you deserve. When I did 'dales sheep' I was interested in composition and how objects break a line or join two parts of a painting i.e the sheep break the horizontal line of the walls and join the bottom and top shapes and I think the composition works, however, what was unexpected was the the way french ultra, burnt sienna, raw sienna and some water gave me sheep with attitude!
