  • Diana...I have never seen a white peacock. What a glorious, striking image you have made of this . You have done a brilliant job handling the whites , especially in watercolour. Love the visual impact of this.

  • That was the first one I'd ever seen back in the 70s when I lived in Germany. They are stunning but they don't have any "eyes" on their feathers. Sometimes they have the full shaped feather but more often just the bottom half in a curve below where the eye would be. Thank you, doing all that white worried me.

  • The only white peacock I've seen was in Isola Bella in Italy. You definitely captured it's purity as I remember it.

  • This is fantastic Diana! I am going though a bit of a 'peacock' phase myself at the moment, painting cards and making a peacock fabric cushion. I love the peacock colours but your white one is quite magnificent.

  • There's a novel by D H Lawrence, entitled The White Peacock: and this would be the perfect image for its dust-jacket. Well done for plucking up the courage to have a go at it, your courage has paid off.
