  • You have such a talent to emotionally connect the colors to your paintings. I've become such a big fan!

  • Extremely lively treatment in the foreground, full of movement, lovely. Thank-you for your comment on my work.

  • There was only discomfort offered, among a torn mossy scalp, bone raw granite shoulders, air that tasted of salty chalk, and nightmares scowling across the tortured sky. Brilliant harmony of seascape hues!

  • Robert you got the wild feeling here so very well. I have never heard of this corner. I love your composition and the hard work you must have had with the bushes. You have not lost patience, it is very well executed

  • Beautiful forground, so well done. Also love the colours you have used.

  • Wonderful movement in the grasses and beautiful colours. the central bush had me puzzled for a while as it's blown almost horizontal and seems quite large in comparison to the rocky outcrop

  • Many thanks all. Diana, the scene is edited a bit, courtesy of artistic licence, and I was maybe a bit greedy in including that little thicket with the rock, which are actually farther apart - but I just loved the way it had been blown against the cliff so it lies almost flat. This is a fabulous stretch of coast (near St Catherine's Lighthouse, on the Isle of Wight's most southerly tip) and you could make a painting of every few yards of it - in fact, that's basically what I have been doing, this year..
