  • Thank you John. There was a hammock somewhere too, maybe one of the pen lines, I can't remember now.

  • The thought of the pool adds so much wonderful Ibolya

  • I love this type of sketching, so loose and carefree.

  • Beautiful sketch with beautiful colours, Ibolya.

  • Wasn't south Luangwa was it.... .? Looks like my little hut where I slept on a spider ( pink) and woke up to my very own elephant munching on the foliage outside of my door. I sat on the step and sketched him. Thanks for the memories

  • Thank you Dennis, Alan, Cesare, Jim and Sylvia.
Yes, Sylvia it's at Kafunta in the South Luangwa. We stopped there for a short while only and stayed at another (cheaper) lodge. We had elephants grazing outside too at night. I don't think I would have sketched one at a close range just outside our little house, they can be very territorial. Lucky you could do that. I was more worried about snakes and scorpios than spiders there and I don't miss the mosquitos!

  • Love the splodgy tree on the left in particular.

  • Thanks Timothy, I think that's the part I like too and the orangey colour of the house.
