  • Lovely effect Paula, great shadows and you must have the patienc of Job with all those pebbles. Terrific.

  • I particularly like the shadows cast by those wooden poles. Your pebbles are so realistic. I love the contrast of that blue and the burnt sienna.

  • Of all the excellent things about this painting, the one that really stands out for me is that ingress of water mixed with sand and detritus approaching the aged groynes - that's just how it looks: shallow, a bit sullied, and VERY hard to paint accurately. You have a great eye for colour, light, and form.

  • Thank you for the comments. Unfortunately it did not photograph well and has lost a lot of the clarity of the original painting. Also the edge of the wet sand under the seagull has flecks of metallic paint that gently catch the light .
It's a beautiful an tranquil place to visit !

  • A wonderful, painting Paula. The original must be amazing. I'd love to know what size the canvass is and how long such a detailed painting takes to perfect?

  • Greetings, investigate by countless pages of museums I have noticed the price of contemporary works of art such as Iris Verhc, Daniel Concepcion, Gabino Amaya cacho among others. Giving me account that his works surpass the thousands of euros in the market. Some can explain how they value those paintings and if possible a person like me who is starting in the art world can get to give that value to his works thank you very much.
