  • Cesare - Bela Lugosi played Dracula, in Todd Browning's film of that name in 1931. Edward D Wood was the director of such gems of the silver screen as Plan 9 From Outer Space, and Glenn or Glenda? - two of the very worst films ever made: the best that can be said of Wood is that he helped the ageing and ill Bela Lugosi to carry on working: and enabled him to die with a script in his hand - Lugosi needed to work.
