  • Beautiful painting George I wish I could paint as good as you. Terrific

  • I like the greys and greens in this which bring everything together. That touch of red springs out as the eye travels round, it's a lovely little scene. I can't help wonder what is underneath.

  • Thank you Dennis and Marjorie,. Marjorie, this was an old watercolour painting of mine done several years ago which I have just painted over with stronger colours and added some line to. And Dennis your paintings inspire me.

  • Brilliant George, was the underpainting the same subject?

  • Same subject Derek just added to and enhanced the colours and the wall details.

  • That's a great idea George, it has turned out very well. I might have a rumage through some of mine.

  • Pretty little scene George. I did the same with one of my paintings that I painted a decade or so ago; after using student quality paint, the reds had faded, so re-applied with professional colours.
