  • Really good painting Anthony, the colours give a real feeling of remoteness and the wildness of the land up there, I have just come back from two weeks in the area near the wall around Houseteads and Vinlader area and this painting really does tell the story, nice one.

  • Snow in Sussex ....now on Hadrian's Wall. Are you trying to put an end to this glorious autumn weather Anthony? Both lovely watercolours and this one in particular - very dramatic and interesting composition. Nice bit of wall, tracery of tree trunks, dark rolling moor and that super patch of brilliant virgin snow. That Roman soldier in his red tunic is untypically colourful!
