  • The overall dimension of this mural are 12ft x 6ft. It depicts 10 pictures which are available as prints. In addition, the many sites of interest such as the quarries which are now conservation areas and home to many unusual plants, birds and butterflies. In the foreground the causeway road edging Chesil Beach, leads on to the village of Underhill (Chiswell, Castletown and Fortuneswell). the Port and the Weymouth and Portland Sailing Academy. On Tophill there are three further villages. I have included reference to the many ship-wrecks around the island, its past history as a Naval base (HMS Portland steaming in) OUR helicopter and two possible areas for Jurassica and Memo (with samples of the many ancient finds). Following preparing the 3 MDF boards, it took 3 months of working everyday painting and I found it difficult to stop adding items.
