  • I like the looming cloud form to the left, suggesting a downpour any moment - very English and very East Anglian (although apparently it's the driest county). And the way the eye is taken into the painting with the 'arrows' pointing inwards from bottom left and then on a zig zag journey to the distance. I also like how you've created a sense of recession but it doesn't look as if one 'layer' is painted separately one after the other, it blends but there is still definition in the foreground gradually becoming softer into the distant hills.
