  • Love the colours and effect. Good luck with your house move. I thought you hadn't been quite so busy lately - packing I suspect. Hopefully it won't be long before you can treat us to some more paintings. I have finally got round to a pastel self-portrait, which I may or may not post!!!!!

  • Yes, Fiona don't leave it too long and make sure that you unpack those paints quickly. This is another nice scene. I especially like the foreground but all of it is great :)

  • Fiona, I do hope I am not too late with my comment. I love your painting even if it strikes me as being somewhat different from your usual style. I cannot imagine this site without your input - your comments as well as your pictures. You have such a large following, (just look at the number of comments as soon as you post a pic !), I am sure I am not alone in this. I wish you and your husband all the best for your house move. But do, please, hurry back. Love, Lionel. x

  • Another good un Fiona and you even have a couple of builings in this one! Lively brushwork and lovely colours and a great feeling of depth in this one. Hope it isn't too long before you can pick up a brush again, I become impossible to live with ( so I'm told ) when I haven't been able to paint for a while. I hope you are not leaving that beautiful corner of Scotland where you live and are just changing houses but I wish you and hubby the best of luck with the move.

  • I hope I'm not too late with this message -have only just found this lovely picture. The colours are wonderful and as Val says you've even managed to sneak a couple of very creditable buildings in. Good luck with the move -hope you manage to keep warm and are soon back painting. Are you moving to new wonderful scenery in Scotland or further afield?

  • Lionel, you say the kindest things. I thank you for your friendship which has come about through a shared interest and I hope to be back as soon as possible. I will need lots of cajoling because I'm sure my painting will go down hill quickly if can't practise, so keep looking in and get ready to give me that kick in the pants when I need it! Lol! Thanks again Lionel and don't forget to keep painting when your health allows....love Fiona xxx
