Flight Sensation!

Wow Anthony, amazing. Would make a fantastic jigsaw! So interesting and so well painted … how many hours did it take?

Love it. A huge amount of work, but well worth it. Rings a few bells for me.

Absolutely wonderful Anthony, I love how 'busy' it is, so much to see and study. Reminds me so much of William Frith and his 'rather busy' paintings!

A labour of love obviously Anthony, and brilliantly done. I can almost hear The Weavers singing "Tzena Tzena" ...(-:

Detail and figures are fantastic. A marvellous piece of work.

Thank you all. I'm afraid there is nothing spontaneous about this sort of illustrative work... it takes a while to plan and prepare sketches, but it was actually painted quite quickly; not sure how long it took exactly, because I tend to paint a number of works (can be up to 10) simultaneously, flitting from one to another. Yes I do love the busyness of William Frith/Victorian paintings!

Yes it’s certainly crowded, but a great memory of those times Anthony.

I love Frith too Anthony.

Unbelievably detailed and a lovely story telling composition.

Wow, I love this Anthony!

Wow, I love this, so much to look at! Love all the details.

Brilliant. So many recognisable things and seemingly recognisable people. So many stories on one canvas. Well done.

Super work....

A master work, brilliant.

Battersea Funfair in its heyday. I know it's rather busy... but it was fun to fill it with those characters: Perhaps more illustrative than artistic.
