Love the variations of greens and directional brushstrokes Andrea. I particularly love the light falling on the climbers and left hand and foreground grasses. A beautiful painting that you should be very proud of.

I'd originally left the foreground of this painting untouched (with a scrubbed-in suggestion of grass) thinking this contrast would draw the eye into the more detailed middle & background. However, I later realised that the tone of this area was too dark. I've revisited it and painted a thicker, impasto foreground, adding the suggestion of longer grasses with the end of my brush. I think this has lifted the piece. It's more about the light and shade now - which was the original challenge I set myself
