The second oil painting of a view of our small garden, this time of the small wildlife pond. It sits in the shade until late morning, at which point the sun starts to creep along the reeds until it reaches this beautiful half-light, half-shade moment. I’ve tried to capture the cool of the stones in the shadows, the warmth of the full sun and the smattering of dappled sunlight inbetween. Oil on canvas board 10 x 12 inches
