Lovely painting Alan it surprising how much warmth can be in a snow scene and still look natural . It's worked very well here well done.

Who would have thought those colours would work so well in a snowscape. Very inviting scene with your usual splash of genius Alan.

I didn't think that I liked peach colours, but I do now!

A fine piece of work. Very atmospheric.

Love the loose brush work and soft colours. Everything about this is just right.

Love those muted tones Alan.

Lovely winter scene, very subtle.

Interesting that you’ve kept it simple Alan, but that seems to make the little detail you have put (branches and fence) stand out more. Fascinating and great use of limited palette. Love it!

Love this Alan, actually makes me feel warm.

Really like this painting, especially the colours.

Very effective, less is always more...all the implied detail is so lovely, Alan!

This sure looks cold Alan but the colour palette is wonderous. Enjoyed viewing this painting.

So effective with such subtle colours.

Wonderful, Alan, you've certainly caught that peacefulness of a particular time of day.

Many thanks to everyone who commented, glad you like it.

Really like this one, Alan, lovely soft colours, and just enough detail in the fence line.

Such a beautiful painting Alan. I love the colours you have used.

This is striking - super colour combination and love the mistiness in the background.

Another good one Alan, particularly like the palette.

Ooh I love this, Alan. Very ethereal.

Magnificent, Alan. You are a sommelier of colours! It is as if we are offered a special white wine with rich flavor!

Yes I feel that cold, with the warm glow of that winter sun

16 x 20in, oil on canvas board. A continuation of the theme that I’ve been working on recently, variations of local scenes concentrating purely on atmosphere. I’ve kept this version simple by using a limited palette with minimal detail.
