Love the blue Alan, a crisp Winter’s day!

Lovely glow on the blue snow.

That's a lovely one, Alan. Cool blue foreground against warm light , perfect effect.

Super snowscape, Alan, and I agree about the blues. I noticed the sky immediately with those delightful wispy clouds. I also admire the aerial perspective. Instantly recognizable style btw. Bri

Love the blues here Alan!

Wonderful painting Alan

The deep blue of the snow looks wonderful, I must say it is a lovely Lane you have.

Another 'classic' Alan Bickley! Deceptively 'simple' but so skilfully done, wonderful.

I always like the amount of colour you put into your paintings Alan, always quality.

Beautiful snowscape, Alan, love this one!

And a vary fine view it is, and very well painted.

Superb blends of blue and the dense woodland areas in contrast to the snow Those creme pigments certainly contrast well and grey shadows of different tones in the blue. Nicely painted in loose style Alan, well done.

Lovely work Alan. The dark foliage really sets it off.

Super atmosphere, Alan. Love the blue colour palette.

A really beautiful sunny snow scene - I like all the varied colours in the snow.

I can feel the biting, invigorating, chill in this wintry landscape, achieved through the stark blues, sharp whites, and other subtle hues Alan. Even the trees seem to shiver.

A great snow scene Alan and painted beautifully.

Loose is good! Great result.

Love this Alan - the blue with the hints of orange/brown- gorgeous

I like this Alan good work.

Great work Alan.

A wonderful selection of blues Alan, and I like the loose tree impressions.

You're doing marvelous things with these local scenes Alan. Really like the random scratched marks, along with everything else of course.

Lovely comments thank you, always appreciated.

Very well constructed painting, and a very satisfying impression of space and coldness.

Beautiful wintry scene Alan. Great colour combination. Looks like we may get a bit more of the white stuff!

Missed this first time round, Alan. It’s the deep blues and the ‘scratchy’ trees that caught my eye, with the lovely low light in the sky.

Another excellent snow scene and cleverly painted.

A simple local scene worked up in the studio from photographs taken a week or so ago after a heavy snowfall. It was those gorgeous dark patches of woodland contrasting against the snow that originally appealed to me. I’ve adopted a much looser approach this time, and exaggerated those all-important deep blue shadows falling across the snow. Oil on Jackson’s Belle-Arti canvas/MDF board 40 x 50cm
