Am sure I just commented on this but it hasn't appeared. Anyway, I really like this Alan.

Lovely range of tones and colour.

Agree with Stephen’s comments, Alan - and a lovely sky.

Love the leaning trees and the overall feeling of being cold but bright. The palette reflects this so well Alan.

Shame you didn’t get to finish it plein air Alan, it hasn’t lost anything by being studio finished. I saw your initial plein air stages and it’s kept it’s freshness.

Thanks guys, probably my last posting for a while, there’s so little interest at the moment!

Lovely sky and composition Alan. A different colour palette for the trees, some interesting greens there. Don’t stop posting please, we need all the good stuff and inspiration we can get at present.

Beautiful Alan, love the colour palette and how you lead the viewer into the painting.

16 x 20in oil on board, started plein air, but circumstances meant that I had to finish it in the studio, which was such a pity. This small path leads down to the water’s edge, where you can pick up a boat to go fly fishing (Season licence req’d). 800 acres of premium trout fishing and yachting (not at the moment!).
