Colour combinations are superb.

Great color use, and uniquely yours.

Love the optimism this painting expresses and your unusual colour combinations, which work so harmoniously Alan.

Fantastic colours - very Van Gough!

Lovely colours , definitely drew me in . Very well done.

I've yet to start this year's plein air sessions but your work is motivating me to get out and at it. Great stuff.

Another lovely painting Alan, and a little different to your usual, colour wise, or is it just that we’ve traveled through winter and made it to the Spring? Anyway it is very appealing and I like the style.

Thanks everyone, much appreciated comments.

Right, that's it, I'm getting the oils out again - staying indoors and away from people as much as possible, all political activity is (praise be!) shut down for the time being, and I can't keep on resisting inspiration like this; your paintings just make me want to get busy again on my very favourite thing to do!

Looks like you live in a beautiful part of the country, Alan. Love the colours.

Lovely colour combinations, Alan, the whole thing has a really mellow peaceful feel to it.

Great scene - really lovely, Alan

Stands out a mile...a gem of a pic.

16 x 20in oil on board. Yet another addition to my series of (reasonably) local scenes. Painted in two short plein air sessions, the sun came out on the second visit which helped, then fine-tuned in the studio. A mixture of dead winter foliage and new green shoots appearing, a sure sign that spring is on the way!
