Love your palette Alan and the limited but very effective use of white, especially that smidgeon of white in the lower horizon. I also admire the staithes on the left and the bushes on the right framing the painting.

The low horizon and expansive sky with those 'interesting' cloud formations make for a wonderful painting Alan.

I am always impressed with your paintings Alan. Great sense of distance as usual.

There isn’t anything about this that could not be admired Alan. Love the brush marks, especially in the sky.....truly gorgeous.

Wow Alan sublime top notch and so often

Love it! Something about the composition is particularly nice, Alan.

This is so good Alan. I really like the foreground and the distant horizon and the colours and skies are great

Fantastic sky and distant light. Love your brushmarks, each one meaningful Alan.

Was taken by this winter's scene in the gallery. Never suspected it was a Bickley. It's great, crisp bright and fresh.

There's just the right amount of activity in your sky, Alan. I love it; and the sparkle on the distant water and the patterns of the foreground stumps and willows too.

Another stunner.. The sky is really good and your use of colour exemplary. Keep up the good work.

Lovely Alan, what more can I say that hasn't already been said, I agree with all 🙂

Like the brushmarks and colours, Alan

Absolutely sparkles with life, Alan

You have caught the sky really well Alan. One can feel the light coming through. The whole image works very well.

Agree with the comments below. Still struggling with this new site which is why haven't been commenting. Trying to catch up.

40 x 50cm oil on board. View from a nearby nature reserve looking towards Stafford, Broad Eye windmill visible on the horizon. The upright stanchions of derelict bird viewing hides does help the balance of the composition. A low horizon with the emphasis on the vast expanse of sky, plenty of potential here for interesting cloud structure!
