Good one Jim. I don't recall this painting by Van Gogh...I'll have to look it up. It reminds me of a similar painting (in subject matter) by Picasso...a favourite of mine among his many works and styles.

Thanks Lew and Heather for he comments. Lew, apparently, Van Gogh copied Millais's version of "Sleepers at Noon" because he liked it so much.

Another side of Vincent. Two farm workers taking time for a lunch-time nap. Not the maestro's normal style, but just another side to his talent. A line and wash impressionist version that's almost a copy, except in being much smaller.
