It might be the wrong paper but it doesn't take away the fact that this is a nice painting. I like it.

Oh yes, that paper grain is a bit harsh. Shame. Still a fine painting.

I like the colours and the loose sketching - it makes a very nice picture. Possibly the grain shows more on the photo than in 'real life' - I find this happens sometimes to me sometimes.

We can still appreciate the painting Jim. But it’s infuriating! I’ve done it with pastel paper….you live and learn.

It happens to us all Jim , not concentrating or what ever and we have the wrong pad , paper on the go. Despite the rough paper it’s still,possibly to see the painting, and it a good one. Hopefully your frustration will ease and you will see the painting a bit more than the paper.

Thanks all for the understanding. I won't be using that paper again for watercolours, and Barbara, you're right, the camera highlighted the faults.

And a silly one. Bad choice of paper ruined a possibly decent painting of Galway Bay. Serves me right ....
