Your title covers it perfectly Justin and so does your application to represent the subject. I’m trying to do the same in oils....not easy to get that opaque look of iced/slushy water.

Hi thanks for the comments as always ... Fiona I think you may need to look at the marks in the surface first that make it look slushy or icy and then consider the colour afterwards as a wash or glaze. Or build up successive glazes. Thats the way I find anyway, I think you have to get the depth of the water and its surface and then the perspective of it going into the distance as a flat plane.

Thank you for your advice Justin, I’ve been working on the water again today....not looking anything like slushy at the moment! Lol
