This can only be the Falkland Isles, has that rugged landscape and of course the date sets it as does the Pucara wreckage. A wild but beautiful place.

Acrylic on board From my journal written in 1984 “…What a sad sight though, the whole hilltop is still littered with the debris of the conflict...” Looming on the horizon, wingless but largely intact, the fuselage of the Pucara remains, a stark reminder of what passed here a very short time ago.
