Carole my imagination could run wild and disappear into your painting. ....it’s pure fantasy and gorgeous! I’m sure there is a piranha lurking about and I think he’s wearing a top hat.

I think so many people are struggling to get back into painting, or into whatever it was that interested them before. I hope we can all get past that. Somehow, Carole, your painting reminds me of Gauguin. The colours, I think. Definitely tropical.

I'm finding it hard to paint as well Carole. Every morning the intention is there and then I find myself saying 'maybe tomorrow'. There just doesn't seem to be much point to me at the moment. I need something to work towards and the inspiration just isn't there. It's bothering me but I have to sit it out I suppose. The gallery here used to inspire me but even the challenges and the fun I used to have doing them isn't working. Not sure why that is! At least I managed a Seville painting which wasn't easy but that was a request from my daughter who lives there. Now it's raining and I have no excuse but there again, I'll probably find one! Hopefully things will get back to normal eventually. Keep well x

Thanks ladies for your kind words, it sounds like some of us are all in the same boat! Thank you Marjorie I feel honoured by the Gauguin colours :) Louise it's a bad time for us all trying to do the right thing and keep well also worrying about our children in different lines of work. I have been deviating from painting and doing decoupage on boxes and making clay jewellery - no painting to speak off. Keep well all xx
