Really lovely Carole

Excellent and beautifully painted.

Beautifully done Carole.

Hydrangeas look lovely at this time of year, and so does this painting Carole.

Fine work, Carole. Our hydrangeas are colourful this year, very like your painting. Usually they are pretty drab by now.

A tricky subject but made to look easy, well done Carole.

You've really caught the colours well here Carole, 👍😀

Carole, I look at my Hydrangea flowers ever year and think, I ought to paint those....and every year, I say nah! I use your stunning Hydrangea flower paintings as a benchmark but I will never come close to your exceptional works.

Thank you all very much for taking time to leave a few words of encouragement I really appreciate them all. Fiona much too kind :)

Beautifully done Carole.

I like all the splattered bits around. You have captured it.

This is great, Carole. I am with Fiona in this: watching it every year and never done it!

Really nicely done Carole love the inclusion of the blemishes they give it life, just a thought for you, many years ago I use to have a Lady come to my garden who was a pattern designer and she use to take the Hydrangea heads when they had reduced to their skeletal stage with just the lattice effect and she would use these for pattern ideas, Ideas for future drawings?. Thumbs up on yours.

More thanks for lovely kind comments. Malcolm what a great idea, thanks for that info x

Superb in every way Carole. Such difficult flowers to paint.

These are so colourful in Autumn had to have a go at painting again. Watercolour, coloured pencils.

About the Artist
Carole Swingler

Self- taught artist, I have dabbled in watercolours for many years on and off. My first love is flower painting in watercolour. Now trying many different media including acrylic inks, gouache, all types of pencils to try loose-ish semi abstract images.
