The majestic African wildlife never fails to provide for creative subjects. I used scraperboard with a gold undercoat to etch out these 2 amazing creatures. They may appear strong and rugged, but have a tender side as well, and that is what appealed to me with this image. My aim was also to depict their shape and textured skin with varying the mark making with the etching tools.
