A lovely vista, Paul - good variation of colour.

Oooo...wonderful Paul, can’t wait to see them this spring.

Very good Paul. Good colour combination. There is a notice on a Lakes forest path : " Trees are the best antiques ", or words to that effect.

Thank you Anne, Fiona and Richard for your kind comments. I’m also look forwards to the spring and hope we will be able Tom get out and about. Richard that is the kind of sign I don’t mind seeing, I will remember that what a great quote.

What a beautiful place Paul, the colours a wonderful, I feel like walking straight down the path.

Paul this is a really good painting both in the composition and depth of the reseeding distance. with good colour and tone.

Always nice to see bluebells Paul, lovely path through the woods.

The purplish blue and yellowish green has shown excellent contrast.

Many thanks Denise, John, Carole and Kwok for your kind comments they are always appreciated.

The fact that you are not detailing either the bluebells or the trees makes the composition unusual and beautiful. I am actually trying out a bluebell painting just now and thinking of all the detailing work which I have been contemplating. Maybe I should do it somewhat in your style.

Thank you Andrew and Sunil for your kind comments. I don’t usual paint in this style but do enjoy doing so as it not stressful and is very quick to do . A problem with detailing sometimes is the urge to fiddle with it and overwork the painting , I have to discipline my self to stop fiddling.

A4 watercolour painting of the woodland at Ashridge , used a photo taken a couple of years ago as not able to visit last year and doubtful about this year. It’s a beautiful sight the different blues under the trees is spectacular , it sends the camera crazy trying to focus. In recent years the National Trust has put a one way walking system in as people just walked all over the bluebells.
