Silver Darlings
Watercolour of a steam trawler , leaving the herring ground for home . Imaginary scene , the boats were hard working and weathered looking. The identity number is made up but done in to reflect how they were done . The lettered denotes which harbour they originate from . I had problems with this as the heat dried the paint as I was doing the sea and it could not blend. Several attempts at rescue , think it’s ok but I only see the problem. Had to use acrylic white as part of the recovery .
