Down the canal

The canal boats look great Paul.

Super canal and boats, Paul. I think canals are fascinating. Agree with Michael about those doldrums too!

Keep going Paul, it’ll come back. Meanwhile I like this ;)

Oh dear, a sinking boat! Know that feeling Paul, all I’m doing is fiddling with abandoned work hoping for a spark. I’m sure it will come! Good painting x

We all have those at times. Hope they pass soon. Love how you have painted the minimalistic background, which gives a sense of depth and space Paul.

Thank you all for you kind and encouraging comments that are really appreciated. I thought to keep the background looking like a cold winter morning with no leave etc and dull grey. Hopefully it reflect that type of morning where it an effort to just walk along the tow path .

The boats look good to me Paul. I am in a what to do next mode. Think the good weather is tempting me to going out and enjoying !

Thank you Richard for you kind comment . I spend today out in the garden it was great to be out , I also have had a go at a Chinese landscape painting, something different for a change .

Looks great to me Paul, even though you say you are struggling. Keep doing a bit here and there, it will pass.

Thanks Fiona I’m sure it will, I agree that to keeping doing bits is the best thing .

Nice one, lovely boats

Super boats, Paul, I agree with Michael, adding colour to the trees would complete it

Thank you Romila and Thalia for you kind comments.

24x32 cm watercolour on 200gsm paper . Cold morning along the canal. Struggled with this as I’m in the no motivation for painting doldrums.
