Thank you for your comments, it is very much appreciated. Until I spent 10 years in the Middle East, I could not have imagined how stunning some of the scenery was there. When I discovered this oasis, and many others, I promised myself, "....I must paint these memories in the future!" Finally, I have got round to starting this task. I will be painting more of my memories from the Middle East as I really enjoyed this one. I also returned briefly back to my more impressionistic style as I think this technique suits the scenery more.

This is so like the style of Thomas Moran, a Bolton artist who painted the American wild west, and believe me Colin, that's no small compliment

This is incredibly beautiful Colin and reminds me of work by the old masters. There is an air of regal, mystique and timelessness about this painting that has great magnetism.
