Had a go at figures in a landscape from a photograph I found on one of the online free reference photo sites for artists. I used pen and wash and some sketched features in pencil left in. I didn’t want make things too dark with the washes so kept glazing with very watery washes to give the effect of a sunny early afternoon. Think it gave the desired effect. I do hope that very soon, town scenes like this will once again be the norm and not just history.
