The detail of the trees is brilliant Amanda. I particularly like how the sunlight is shining on the nearest 2 trees.

Only magnificent, that's all.. And a new medium to try - I'd not encountered these pens, but have found Clayboard and its stable-mates. Something to play with!

Thank you, Paul, Karen. Jacky, Lewis, Heather, Carole and Robert. Clayboard is new to me. It's advertised as "The ultimate multi-media panel" but was apparently developed as a high spec scratchboard base.

Indian ink on Ampersand Claybord [sic], 12" x 16". These trees are local to me on the north Hampshire downs. I used Platinum Carbon fountain pens, which are designed specifically for use with the extra-fine Indian ink (Carbon ink) made by Platinum, to add ink to the China clay surface, and a simple bradawl to remove ink.
