This is my first unfinished painting that I've posted but the distant slopes, initially intended to be very loose because I shall be scumbling over them to create a misty ambiance, look good enough to be part of the painting of the valley without mist and I wanted to hear your thoughts before I scumbled a mist in, please?

The colours you have used are, in my opinion very effective. I probably don't have your experience, but if that was my painting I would'nt want to loose the vivid colours in the foreground, so I would scumble a kind of rolling mist, not fully enveloping the foreground.
