This is the second painting I have made in oil of the Golden Temple at Amritsar in India. It is 610 cms x 915 cms and is an oil on board, so it is quite large. In this showing you this work in progress I will take a different approach to usual by showing you the complete picture first and then I will go on to explain how it came about, some of the experiences I encountered in making the picture and will explain what is going one at several stages in the making of it. Hope you find this as enlightening to see as it was for me in doing it. Martin Taylor
Martin, I'm trying to visualise the size....in "old money" - imperial measurements, is it really 20 ft x 30ft? Or did you mistake cm for mm?
Brilliant painting.  I'm really looking forward to learningg from you Martin.  Thanks.  Oops just seen this is a duplicate posting.
